Rockingham County Autism Awareness 5K & 1K Fun Run
The Rockingham County Autism Society invites you to attend and participate in our 1K Fun Run and our 5K. This event will take place at the Eden City Hall/Grogan Park, 308 E. Stadium Drive Eden, North Carolina 27288. Starting date and time will be on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 at 8:15 am for the 1 Mile Fun Run and the 5K will start at 9:15 am.
August of 2018, the Autism Society decided to reopen a chapter for our county. Money raised will go toward the new Rockingham County Autism Chapter. With over 179 students recognized as having Autism within Rockingham County Schools we feel there is a significant need to provide services for these children. Please come out and support this needed resource.
When: Saturday, September 7th 2019
Time: 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:15 a.m. and 5K at 9:15 a.m.
Where: Eden City Hall/Grogan Park, 308 E. Stadium Drive Eden, NC 27288
T-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by 08/07/2019
Online registration ends 09/02/2019
The race will start/finish in front of the Eden City Hall. Please pay careful attention to parking signs and barriers. Parking will be available at Central Elementary School, Morehead High School, Holmes Middle School (across from Eden City Hall). To reduce the volume of traffic, please consider carpooling.
1k Fun Run/Walk is open to ALL ages (KIDS 5 AND UNDER ARE FREE) BUT IF THEY WANT A SHIRT EMAIL atalley08@yahoo.com the smallest shirt will be a youth XS
The race will take place come rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, an announcement will be made on social media and shared by email. NO REFUNDS, however you may still pick up your shirt.
Dogs are not allowed on the course and dogs cannot run or walk with you. Please keep in mind /at we expect many children to attend our event. If an individual requires a service dog, please contact Ashley Carter -- atalley08@yahoo.com
